Herb Kim has been a part of the TED community since 2006 when he was granted one of the coveted (and heavily discounted) places reserved for not for profit organisations. TED Conferences have been a huge source of inspiration for us at Codeworks. Among other things it helped to inspire our own Thinking Digital conferences. So we were very excited to learn about the new TEDx programme and that it would allow us to bring more of the TED experience to Northern England. We're very excited to bring you TEDxLeeds, an independent TEDx event that will take place on 10th September 2009. Hosted and organised by Codeworks Enterprises and nti Leeds we are looking forward to delivering an inspiring session of speakers and TEDTalks videos packed full of "ideas worth spreading".

Nti Leeds is at the centre of the innovation community for Yorkshire and Humber, and is home to many regular networking and industry events, including BarCamp, GeekUp, OpenCoffee and much more, including hosting O'Reilly's Ignite UK North earlier this year. With past speakers including Fred Wilson and Herman Gyr, nti Leeds is really excited to work in partnership with Codeworks and Carbon Imagineering to bring you TEDxLeeds.
